Ethos String Quartet Performs at University of Houston Chamber Music Institute

This summer, four Ethos students — performing together as the Ethos String Quartet — took part in the University of Houston Chamber Music Institute, an intensive week-long chamber music program hosted by the Moores School of Music. Working alongside Moores School faculty and special guest artists, the students spent their days in coachings, studio classes, and listening labs — and their growth over the week really showed, impressing the institute's faculty and coming through beautifully in the final concert, where the quartet performed string quartets by Haydn and Mozart.

The students also made the most of everything else the camp offered, from working with visiting artists to spending time with fellow young musicians in the program.

The Ethos String Quartet is part of the Ethos Junior Chamber Players initiative, which gives our students opportunities like this one to grow as chamber musicians. We couldn't be more proud of these students and all they accomplished this week!
