The most beautiful and truly valuable experience for us at Ethos has been the convergence of knowledge attained from the deep, expert, and thoughtful way that piano, dance, and art are taught. My daughters (elementary age) have taken classes in all three disciplines. The biggest joy from their hard work culminated in a year-end recital where faculty and students played live music to their dance performances and their art was a part of the show’s theme as well. At dance, my daughters were able to explore their unrealized potential and discover the beauty of expressing emotions and feelings all while learning technique and being able to be creative in the process. I love Mrs. Stephanie's focus on learning dance as a lifelong practice and not for competitions. Her philosophy has fostered in my girls a mindset of collaboration with their dance peers, self-love for who they are, and appreciation of their unique abilities; which are very important values I seek to instill in my daughters. My girls’ favorite part about learning piano is how their teacher (Mr. Douglas) presents the theory, technique, and music (which is very thorough and advanced) in an interdisciplinary manner so that they not only learn music as a fun isolated activity, but they get to see ways in which a profound understanding in music education can spark their curiosity for an in-depth learning of their different academic disciplines at school, as well as a deeper appreciation and understanding about many cultures. In addition to having weekly classes with their instructors, Ethos has studio classes and informal recitals every month in which the students get to perform for one another and receive feedback from Mr. Khoren in such a constructive way to build their character and confidence to play at higher levels of performance which is so important and valuable for us as we care for our girls’ emotional well being and life balance as they find the beauty in learning all three disciplines.

We have three children enrolled at Ethos for piano, cello, and flute. The instructors are all well-qualified and have a real passion for music. In addition to private lessons, they also hold monthly group classes and offer many supplemental classes. We have moved around quite a bit and have had experiences with many different music instructors. We were blown away by Mr. Khoren (the owner) and his talent for performance and instruction.
